  • Perinatal mental health covers the emotional and mental health experiences individuals and couples face when trying to conceive, during pregnancy, and after childbirth. This includes dealing with challenging thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations related to issues such as:


    • infertility

    • termination for medical reasons (TFMR)

    • depression & anxiety during pregnancy

    • postpartum depression and anxiety

    • postpartum OCD

    • postpartum psychosis

    • perinatal bipolar disorder

  • Yes, we specialize in supporting individuals during the perinatal stage of life. Our therapists are certified in perinatal mental health and have completed specialized training to do EMDR therapy with people during this stage of life. 

    1 in 5 birthing people and 1 in 9 non-birthing partners will experience a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder. Aluna Therapy offers a safe space for individuals as they navigate their journey to and through parenthood.

  • We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Aetna, Cigna, and United Behavioral Health plans. We are not in-network with Medicaid, Medicare, or HMO insurance plans. To verify your insurance benefits, please complete the insurance verification form, and we’ll confirm within 48 business hours.

    If you are not in-network with any of these insurances and are interested in paying out of pocket, we can provide a monthly “superbill” outlining services rendered, which you can submit directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards and HSA and FSA cards for payment. 

  • The frequency of sessions is based on your goals and will be decided together with your therapist.

  • The length of therapy will depend on your goals and the personalized plan developed with your therapist.

  • Your therapy session is reserved just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify your therapist at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session will be charged the full session fee of $175 for a 55-minute session or $125 for a 45-minute session, and this fee is not covered by insurance.
